RECOMMENDATION: Make Appointments
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: There are committees that require the representation of a member of
the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission. As per the Bylaws and Rules of Procedure for the
Commission, "The Commission or the Chairperson, upon direction of the Commission, may appoint
several of its members, but less than a quorum, to serve as a Committee."
The one committee from 20l 1 with representatives and alternates is summarized below.
Oral History Program Steering Committee
An ad-hoc committee whose purpose is to provide

Although this Committee has been inactive this past year, it is recommended to continue the Oral History
Program Steering Committee.to re-organize and identify future participants in the program. Consequently
it is necessary to appoint two representatives to the Oral History Program Steering Committee.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission
review the current committee appointments for the Oral History Program Steering Committee and make
changes and/or appointments to the committee as deemed necessary.
