ANALYSIS:
The location and use of a glass recycling center within the
subject office complex will not adversely impact the
operation of the complex. The proposed location is
considered appropriate as regards both accessibility and
visibility. Although the bin is situated at the
southeastern edge of the property and adjoins the flood
control channel and the westbound on-ramp for Highway 580,
its visibility from off-site is minimized by the design and
grade layout of the adjoining freeway interchange.
Staff recommends that one adjoining parking space be ear-
marked for the recycling operation. Specifically, Staff
recommends that the immediately adjoining parking space be
marked and maintained as a "No Parking" zone to facilitate
access and use of the bin.
