As per the agreement terms, Staff has notified all 10 C&D haulers that said agreements are set to expire on June 30, 2012. Staff has received correspondence from Ferma Corporation requesting that an item be placed before the City Council to discuss the pros and cons of the contract expiration notice. Had the City not sent the notice of contract expiration, the contract terms would have automatically extended for one additional year, which is considered an optional term. Currently, Staff is exploring collection options for C&D debris beginning July 1, 2013, but has no findings or information to present on this topic at this time.
