SENIOR CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE STRATEGIC GOALS AND OB.TECTIVES
Staff gave a brief review of the agenda statement and the attachment, Staff asked that the Senior Center
Advisory Committee to form subcommittees for each of the three goals and objectives, set a date to meet
tivitli Sta:Ff to review and be prepared to report back to the Senior Center Advisory Committee at the May
meeting.
Subcommittees rusts formed as fallorvs:
CM Mack and Comnussioner Mack
Strategic Goal #1--Reach nut to senior groups and social networks iz~ the cani~nunxty
CMs Guarienti and Bonetti
Strategic Gaal #2 -- Assist Staff with planning and implementing new special ~ events to attxact new
customers to the Senior Center
CMs Sandeman and Threlkeld
Strategic Goal #3 -Educate residents about Dublin and resources available for older adults
Each of the Subcommittees set dates in April to meet with Staff and will report back at the May meeting.

Hudson provided the Senior Center Advisory Committee with a bx•ief ovexview of the report.
CM Guarienti asked if the percentages of changes in attendance were needed ar necessary in the
Attendance Grid. Cronin indicated that the percentages can be removed going forward,
The Seniar Center Advisory Committee engaged in a discussion about haw the Seniar Center can.attract
more patz•ons to the daily lunch program. There was discussion about the quality and taste of the food; the
registration process and the cast per meal. Cbl Mack and Commissioner 1vlack would like to investigate
other lunch. program. models and report back to the Senior Center Advisory Committee Members to share
what they have learned.
Outer Busi-tess
CM Bonetti reported an the Foundation meeting. The Car Show is all in place. Afi the Foundation meeting
there vas discussion about the purpose of the Car Show and discussion about sponsoring an opportunity
drawing and what organization will receive the from the drawing. Cronin offered any support that Clvi
Bonetti might need with the Foundation, CNI Bonetti invited everyone one to come out to show their
support of the event.
The planning and registration for the November 17, 2b12 boutique has started. Fourteen vendors have
already sighed up.
CM Sandeman suggested. coordinating an art project/shar~v vvith the youth. Hudson noted there will be an
intergenerational activity at the Senior Center in June; World Art Day.
Cib1 lVlack asked about the oppaz•t{znity drawing as the last special luncheon. Staff stated that it is run by
the Foundation and gift cards from local grocery stores are the prize. '
Caznznissioner Mack reported on the Parks and Golnmunity Services Commission meeting. The
Commission discussed the building plan for Emerald Gien Park, vvhich is being reviewed by an architect
who will be developing new phasing alternatives and updated cast estimates. The Commission also
discussed the branding and promotion of the nevv art, food and wine event coming tzp on September 22,
2Q12.
Hudson had the Advisory Committee engage in a brief activity around Parks and the importance of parks
in the lives of individzaals.
