The project was for the painting of 146 decorative street light poles in the Dublin Ranch Street Lighting Assessment District (99 -1). FINANCIAL IMPACT: The total amount of the base bid awarded by the City Council on May 1, 2012 was $21,608. As shown below, the actual cost of the work completed is less than the budget. The paint on the decorative street light poles and fixtures has an expected lifespan of ten (10) years. Street light poles that approach the ten (10) year lifespan are painted and funded through revenue collected through the assessment district fees. The street light pole painting project consists of removing existing street signs and brackets, sanding and cleaning the street light poles, painting the decorative street lights, and reinstallation of the street signs and brackets upon completion of the project. The Street Light Pole Painting Contract included street lights located on the following streets, as shown on the Location Map (Attachment 1): STREET LIGHTS ON THE FOLLOWING STREETS WERE INCLUDED IN THE STREET Mountain Rise Place Clifden Court Galway Court Oak Bluff Lane North Bridgepointe South Bridgepointe Lane Lane Cranbrook Place Colebrook Lane Hartland Court Sugarloaf Court Newfields Lane Penwood Lane Longmeadown Milbridge Court Ledgewood Terrace Hobstone Place Place North Forestdale South Forestdale Circle Circle Castleton Court Woodvale Terrace Round Hill Drive Penwood Place There were 146 street light poles and fixtures that were painted under the contract award by the City Council on May 1, 2012 to California Custom Painting. The project work began at the end of May 2012 and was completed by the middle of June 2012. Staff has reviewed the work performed under this contract and has determined that the work is satisfactory and complete. NOTICING REQUIREMENTS /PUBLIC OUTREACH: Public Noticing is not required.
