The Civic Center Generator Project replaced the existing Civic Center emergency generator with a larger unit capable of powering the entire Civic Center site. Due to the extensive lead time in ordering and delivering an emergency generator, Contract No. 11-13 pre-purchased the generator equipment 3 months in advance of the scheduled installation work. ERS Construction (Contract No. 12-04) installed the new generator, associated equipment as well as modified the existing enclosure to accommodate the larger generator. The improvements are complete and the generator is in service to provide emergency power to the Civic Center site in the event of a power failure.
