The attached document was received in the Planning Department after distribution of the December 11, 2012 Planning Commission meeting agenda packet. Item 8.2, 12.11.12 AOC Technologies, Inc. Customer Satisfaction Is Our Only Priority! City of Dublin Planning Commission Mr. Luke Sims, AICP 100 Civic Plaza Dublin, CA 94568 December 10, 2012 Regarding: PLPA-2012-00054 Fax to 925-833-6628 Dear Mr. Sims and Commissioners, AOC Technologies Incorporated has for more than 10 years been a tenant at the 6690 Amador Plaza location which is part of the proposed Montessori site development. As a long time tenant we believe we are well qualified to comment on the possible problems that will be created by the proposed changes. AOC would like to point out that the road and traffic along Amador Plaza Road leading to the property, particularly the segment from the intersection with Saint Patrick Way to the property is inadequate to safely support traffic for the loading and unloading of up to 381 students each morning, noon and evening. This segment of Amador Plaza Road has 3 lanes, one lane for each direction and a shared common lane that is always encroached in both directions by on-street parking and frequently the common lane is occupied by car-transport trucks that are loading and unloading. The remaining width available to each direction Is very small, perhaps at most 2 feet of clearance and traffic will stop whenever SUV's and wider trucks cannot safely get through. Even if on-street parking were eliminated and traffic were able to move at the posted limit of 25 mph, the actual speed will be reduced to just what is possible for a vehicle enter the driveway and negotiate the speed bumps in the parking lot. When the school traffic increases above its present level, we are certain that the traffic will back up into Dublin Blvd, limit freeway access to 680 Southbound from the same intersection, limit Bart Station access on the adjoining block and prevent timely pickup and delivery of materials to our company. AOC respectfully requests that further study and remedies are formulated to address this problem. Sincerely, =sl i Bill Sterling Vice President Engineeri for AOC Technologies Inc.
