FINANCIAL STATEMENT: $25,000 in monetary sponsorships was received. DESCRIPTION: The 2003 St. Patrick's Celebration was held on Saturday and Sunday, March 15-16, in downtown Dublin. Inclement weather early on Sunday only marginally deterred attendance at the Festival, which exceeded 40,000 people. Registration for the Fun Run increased to just under 1,000 runners this year despite cold, rainy weather the morning of the run. The Festival and Fun Run were well supported by local businesses. The City received $25,000 in sponsorships for the weekend. In addition the City received overwhelming support in the form of in-kind donations of goods and services.
