A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
COMMENDING LELAND J. HORNER FOR HIS SERVICE
TO THE TRI-VALLEY COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, Leland J. Homer has over 36 years of municipal government service with cities
in California; and
WHEREAS, the City of Livermore and its residents have bene~ted from his professional
service as City Manager for the past 18 years; and
WHEREAS, Lee has twice served as Chairman of the Alameda City-County Management
Association and received a thirty-five year service award from the International City
Management Association; and
WHEREAS, Lee has served on several League of California Cities Policy Committees and
was one of the original members of the League's Cable Television Committee; and
WHEREAS, Lee has been supportive and offered leadership to various cooperative projects
undertaken by cities in the Tri-Valley including coordinating the negotiation of a cable
television franchise used by the cities of Livermore, Pleasanton, San Ramon and Dublin; and
WHEREAS, Lee has decided to retire from public service and he will be honored by friends
and co-workers on October 4, 1996; and
WHEREAS, such distinguished and committed service to the public should not go
unrecognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Dublin City Council expresses its
sincere appreciation for the time and effort expended by Lee Homer in serving the needs of
the Tri-Valley community and extends to Lee Homer its best wishes in his retirement.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this first day of October, 1996.
