HomeMy WebLinkAbout4 DRAFT Minutes 08-13-2009 CITY OF DUBLIN HERITAGE AND CULTURAL ARTS COMMISSION Draft Minutes August 13, 2009 The August 13, 2009 meeting of the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission was called to order at 7:03 p.m. at the Dublin Civic Center, Dublin, California, by Chair Carr. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Chair Carr led the Pledge of Allegiance. ROLL CALL Commissioners (Cm.) Present: Carr, Halket, Mack, Minniear, Vonheeder-Leopold Commissioners Absent: Nuckols, Tutino ORAL COMMUNICATIONS Ms. Lee Jouthas, Dublin Public Library Manager, discussed this year's `Dublin Reads — One City One Book' program. APPROVAL OF MINUTES On a motion by Cm. Vonheeder-Leopold, seconded by Cm. Mack and by a vote of 4-0-0 with Cms. Nuckols and Tutino absent, the Commission voted to approve the minutes of July 9, 2009, as presented. Vice Chair Halket abstained from the vote due to her absence during the July 9, 2009 meeting. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS -None PUBLIC HEARING -None UNFINISHED BUSINESS—None NEW BUSINESS 8.1 VIRTUAL TOURS-PUBLIC ART AND HERITAGE CENTER PROGRAMS Mr. John Hartnett, Heritage and Cultural Arts Manager, presented the specifics of the item as outlined in the Staff Report. Cm. Mack inquired about how to find the locations of the public art. Mr. Hartnett explained that there is an interactive map of the art locations on the virtual tour website. The Commission received the report. 9.1 OTHER BUSINESS Cm. Minniear reported that he had a meeting with the Oral History Consultant. Cm. Vonheeder-Leopold reported that she attended a luncheon at the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Hartnett reminded the Commission of the Family Movie Night being held on August 28, 2009.
