arts & crafts, music, dance, and visual and performing arts. Following is a summary of programs
conducted during summer 2009.
CULTURAL ARTS CLASSES:
Cultural arts classes are intended to serve customers of all ages and cover a wide range of arts activities
such as theatre camps, dance camps, a variety of dance classes, piano, guitar, violin, exercise and
movement classes, drawing and painting, children's art education and development, and others. Cultural
arts classes provide an opportunity for participants to attempt new experiences, define current artistic
skills, as well as providing a social setting for meeting new people and sharing cultural arts experiences
with friends and family members. Arts classes are taught by contracted specialty instructors. A majority
of classes are taught in eight-week sessions but some are more or less than eight weeks and others are
offered as one-time workshops.

increase of 16% over summer 2008. The cancellation rate for classes was 3% less than 2008 and the
average registration per class decreased slightly from last year from 10.91 to 10.63 participants per class,
although six more classes were offered. Popular classes included; All 4 Dance Camp, Suessical Jr.
