The December 4, 2013 meeting of the Youth Advisory Committee was called to order at 7:06 PM at the
Dublin Senior Center by Chairperson Kush Rastogi.

ORAL COMMUNICATIONS—
Mary Ayers from the Dublin Public Library provided information on a"1990's Nostalgia" event hosted at
the Dublin Public Library on January 11, 2014. The event is open to all local high school students. For
information contact Ms. Ayers at the Dublin Public Library.
MINUTES OF THE REGUALAR MEETING- October 23, 2013
ON A MOTION BY CM WANG,AND SECONDED BY CM JESSIE SHER AND BY A VOTE OF
10-0-3, THE YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE VOTED TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF
OCTOBER 23, 2013 AS PRESENTED. CM'S BRUNCKHORST, NUNEZ AND KOTHARI
ABSTAINED DUE TO THEIR ABSENCE AT THE OCTOBER 23,2013 MEETING.

NEW BUSINESS
Review Applications Submitted for the Youth Mini Grant Program
Staff Member Luna submitted five Youth Mini Grant applications to Committee Members to review.
Applicants included Dublin High School Room to Read Club, Dublin High School Future Business
Leaders of America Club, Dublin High School Gael Force Robotics Club, Dublin High School Resonance
Music Club, and Dublin High School Irish Guard. Youth Advisory Committee Members were provided
time to review the applications and provide feedback to all Committee Members and Staff. Staff Member
Luna also explained the rating process and criteria to the Members. After discussing the submitted Youth
Mini Grant applications, the Youth Advisory Committee recommended that all submitted applications be
approved to continue in the selection process and attend the next scheduled Youth Advisory Committee
meeting on January 22, 2014 to provide a short presentation on their specific youth organization/club..
ON A MOTION BY CM BRUNCKHORST, SECONDED BY CM WANG AND BY MAJORITY
VOTE, THE COMMITTEE APPROVED THAT DUBLIN HIGH SCHOOL ROOM TO READ
CLUB, DUBLIN HIGH SCHOOL FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA CLUB,
DUBLIN HIGH SCHOOL GAEL FORCE ROBOTIC CLUB, DUBIN HIGH SCHOOL
RESONANCE MUSIC CLUB, AND DUBLIN HIGH SCHOOL IRISH GUARD CONTINUE IN
THE SELECTION PROCESS OF THE YOUTH MINI GRANT PROGRAM AND BE INVITED
TO ATTEND THE NEXT SCHEDULED YOUTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING ON
JANUARY 22, 2014 TO PROVIDE A SHORT PRESENTATION ON THEIR SPECIFIC YOUTH
ORGANIZATION/CLUB.
OTHER BUSINESS—
Staff Member Henry Siu encouraged Youth Advisory Committee Members to attend the City of Dublin
Tree Lighting ceremony on Thursday December 5t' at the Dublin Civic Center. The event will begin at
7:OOPM.

Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 7:55 PM by Vice Chairperson Rastogi.
