A RESOLUTION OF THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

APPROVING FUNDING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2014-2015
COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, on January 23, 2014 the Human Service Commission recommended 23
projects/programs to receive grant funding through the Community Grants Program; and
WHEREAS, the Human Service Commission has provided the City Council with Fiscal Year
2014-2015 Community Grant funding recommendations; and
WHEREAS, Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution, reflects the Fiscal
Year 2014-2015 Community Grants Funding Recommendations (All Funds) for the City of Dublin;
and
WHEREAS, Exhibit A has been segregated to isolate a grant appropriation for a community
organization, Dublin Partners In Education, (DPIE) which will be voted on as a separate Resolution
as one City Councilmember is also a member of the community organization's Board of Directors;
and
WHEREAS, the action taken by this resolution shall approve the funding recommendations of
all funds excluding the DPIE appropriation; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does
hereby take the following actions:
1. Approve and adopt the Fiscal Year 2014- 2015 Funding Appropriation for the City of Dublin
Community Grants Program, as outlined in Exhibit A (Column A— Excludes DPIE Contribution).
2. Approve the allocations as recommended by the Human Services Commission
3. Include the allocations in the FY 14-15 budget
4. Direct staff to work with the County as required on the CDBG funding recommendations
5. Authorize the City Manager to execute agreements with the County for use of CDBG funds
and the funding agreements with each grant recipient effective July 1, 2014 and take such further
actions as may be necessary or appropriate to carry out the City Council's obligations pursuant to this
Resolution.
