Deax Kay,
I would like to be placed on the agenda for the December 19, 2000 meeting
during Oral Communications. I was the recipient of the City Council's
generous contribution for a Dublin teacher m attend the Picture Yourself In
Local Government Teacher Institute this past summer. I would like to present
my report on the Institute, put on by The Center for Youth Citizenship in
Sacramento. My p~esentation should take no more than 10-15 minutes.
The Council has been increasingly interested in involving students at the local
government level and ensuring that students gain substantive knowledge of the
issues and workings of theix dty. As a teacher, I appredate theix continued
support in achieving this objective.
Please contact me to verify my placement on the agenda. I would also be
happy to expand on the details of my presentation if necessary. Thank you for
