CITY OF DUBLIN
CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, strong families are at the center of strong communities; and
WHEREAS, everyone has a role to play in making families successfUL including neighborhood
organizations, businesses, non-profit groups, and of course families themselves; and
WHEREAS, we all should recommit to enhancing and extending all family connections; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting that official recognition be given to the importance of family loyalties,
relationships, and connections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Janet Lockhart, Mayor of Dublin, on behalf
of the entire City Council do hereby proclaim the week of November 23 - November 29, 2003
as "NATIONAL FAMILY WEEK" in the City of Dublin~ and encourage families to recognize
and appreciate their role, thus contributing to a strong and healthy community.
