DESCRIPTION: At the May 6, 2003 meeting, the City Council approved the Design
Development Documents prepared by Dahlin Group Architects and authorized completion of the project's
construction documents. The architect has provided permit plan sets for review to the City dePartments,
has received commentS and incorporated them into the Bid Set.
Staff worked with the architect to ensure that the building design conformed to a minimum, LEED
building certification criteria. Due to Changes in the Alameda County Waste Management Authority
(ACWMA) grant process staff did not pursue grant funding for the Senior Center Project.
The furniture package for the Senior Center will be bid as a separate project. Staff will be presenting
furniture selections for the project once all items have been approved by the Senior Center Advisory
Committee and Parks and Community Services Commission.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is the recommendation of Staff that the City Council take the following action:
Authorize Staff to solicit bids for construction of the Dublin Senior Center.
