A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
FEE SCHEDULE FOR BUILDING REGULATION PERMITS
WHEREAS, Section 12.14 of the Ordinance requires this City Council
to adopt a Schedule of Fees for permits, reinspections, code compliance
surveys, moved building inspections, plan and specification storage fees,
additional plan checking, and hourly rates for inspection services not
covered by specific fees; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to adopt a new fee schedule to recover
those costs presently being incurred in the processing of the aforesaid
items; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this City Council hereby adopts
the following schedule of fees in accordance with Section 12.14 of the
aforesaid Ordinance Code.
SCHEDULE OF FEES
PART 1. For Permits for construction of, or for additions and/or alterations
to buildings or structures, the permit fee shall be determined as follows:

For permits with a value up to $6,000 the fee may be reduced by the amount
listed in Table I when no electrical, plumbing, or mechanical work is installe

the amount listed in Table I when the work involves only one of the following:
electrical work; plumbing work; mechanical work.
For permits with a value up to $2,500 the fee may be reduced by one-third of
the amount listed in Table i when the work involves any combination of two of
the following: electrical work; plumbing work; mechanical work.

* The determination of the valuation shall be made by the Building Official.
** Fees for solar installations and demolitions shall be 50% of the calculated
fee. However, the minimum fee shall be $25.00.
Part 2. Fees for electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work where no work
'regulated by the Building Code is proposed.
For installation, alteration, relocation or repair of each electrical
service including one meter.

each fuel tank less than 1,000 gallons capacity.
The fee for tanks over 1,000 gallons capacity shall
be based upon the valuation, but the fee calculated
from Part A of this schedule shall be divided by 2.
For correction of violations in any electrical,
plumbing, or mechanical installation which is required
as the result of a code compliance survey, lockout
inspection, or other special investigation. This fee
shall be in addition to the fees for any new
installation made as part of the correction.

The minimum fee regardless of the amount determined by this schedule
shall be $20.00.

Part 3.
Where the proposed work is not covered by the items listed in this
schedule, or where special investigations, evaluations or insp-
ections are requested or required, the fee shall be based upon the
estimated time for processing, checking and inspecting using the
hourly rate set forth in Item H of this schedule.
1. For moved building inspection fee:
$4.00 for each 100 square feet.
2. For code compliance survey:
$4.00 for each 100 square feet or portion thereof.
3. Reinspection fee:
$20.00 for each reinspection.
4. Fee for additional plan checking:
The hourly rate set forth in Item H with a minimum of $25.00°
5. Fee for plan check revisions:
The hourly rate set forth in Item H with a minimum of $25.00.
6. For services where there is no specific fee:
An hourly rate based on actual cost plus overhead rounded up
to the nearest dollar. When services are outside of regular
working hours, the rate shall be double with a minimum of 4 hours
7. In-plant inspections:
The hourly rate set forth in Item H plus all costs of meals,
lodging, and transportation.
8. Plan storage fee:
$10.00 (applies to plans required to be prepared by a
professional engineer or architect).
9. Fees for reviewing geologic reports required by the Alquist-
Priolo Special Studies Zones Act:
Actual cost.

Energy Conservation Surcharge:
For all buildings subject to the California Energy Conservation
Regulations add a surcharge of 25%.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Schedule of Fees shall
become effective JanuarV 9, 1984
