FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: The Senior Center Advisory Committee and the Youth Advisory Committee,
along with assistance from Staff, planned and implemented the 4t" Annual Dublin Community Car Show
held on Saturday, May 3, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Dublin Heritage Park and Museums. The
purpose of the event was to raise funds for the Youth Fee Assistance Program while offering an
enjoyable community event. A total of 72 cars were pre-registered, and an additional 20 cars registered
on the day of the event. Other features of the event included food trucks, information tables, and music
provided by DJ Steve Fox of radio station KKIQ. The Dublin Heritage Park and Museums were open to
the public during the event.
Event Highlights
After 238 ballots were tallied, the "People's Choice" Trophy went to the 2006 F430 Spider Ferrari owned
by Brian Brunckhorst of Dublin. The "Best-In-Show" Trophy was selected by the event sponsors and
awarded to the 1951 Chevy owned by Matthew Fisher of Danville.
• Approximately$1,800 was raised for Youth Fee Assistance Program after expenses.
Event Evaluation
The Dublin Community Car Show Subcommittee met on Tuesday, May 27, to discuss the 2014 event and
to make recommendations for possible improvements for next year's event.
Due to an anticipated housing project near the Dublin Heritage Park and Museums site, Staff was unable
to plan a date for the 5t" Annual Dublin Community Car Show.
