A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
ESTABLISHING NOMINATING COMMITTEE FOR
NOMINATION OF COMMISSION/COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS
WHEREAS, commencing with the November 3, 1992, election, the Mayor
will be directly elected by the people; and
WHEREAS, the directly elected Mayor makes all appointments to
boards, commissions and committees Subject to the approval of the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council to establish a
subcommittee of the Council, consisting of the Mayor and one
Councilmember, to interview applicants for the Planning Commission, the
Park & Recreation Commission and the Senior Center Advisory Committee
and to make recommendations to the Council for appointment to such
commissions/committees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
The Nominating Committee shall consist of the Mayor and
Councilmember Moffatt;
The Nominating Committee shall interview applicants for the
Planning Commission, the Park & Recreation Commission and the
Senior Center Advisory Committee ("Commissions");
The Nominating Committee shall make recommendations to the
Council for appointments to the Commissions; and
The Nominating Committee shall make a recommendation regarding
which two applicants should be appointed to two year terms on
each of the Commissions, commencing in December 1992.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event of a disagreement with the
other member of the Nominating Committee, the Mayor retains the sole
discretion to make appointments to the Commissions.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 9th day of November, 1992, by
the following vote:

Councilmembers Burton, Howard, Jeffery, Moffatt and
Mayor Snyder
