Foss, City Manager " SUBJECT: Acceptance of Streambed Corridor Improvements for Tract 7982 constructed with Tract 7652, Neighborhood 6, Sorrento East (Standard Pacific Corporation) Prepared by Jayson Imai, Senior Civil Engineer EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Standard Pacific Corporation, a Delaware Corporation, has constructed the Streambed Corridor Improvements for Tract 7982 Sorrento East in accordance with the Tract Improvement Agreement for Tract 7652, Neighborhood 6. It is now appropriate for the City to accept these improvements. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Standard Pacific Corporation, a Delaware Corporation, has provided the following Warranty Bonds issued by Safeco Insurance Company of America to guarantee the referenced streambed corridor improvements for one year: • Warranty Bond in the amount of $7,750.00 (Bond No. 6753805) for the Tract 7982 Streambed Corridor Pathway Improvements along Gleason Drive from Lockhart Street to Fallon Road • Warranty Bond in the amount of $7,750.00 (Bond No. 6753806) for the Tract 7982 Streambed Corridor Pathway Improvements along Lockhart Street from Gleason Drive to Palermo Way • Warranty Bond in the amount of $17,250.00 (Bond No. 6753807) for the Tract 7982 Streambed Corridor Pathway Improvements along Lockhart Street from Palermo Way to Central Parkway • Warranty Bond in the amount of $8,250.00 (Bond No. 6444643) for the Tract 7982 Landscape Improvements along Lockhart Street eastern frontage from Palermo Way to Central Parkway The Streambed Corridor pathway, landscape, and irrigation improvements will be maintained by the Sorrento East Master Homeowner's Association. The City will not incur annualized maintenance costs for these improvements. "ubmitted By '�� Reviewed By Public Works Director Assistant City Manager DESCRIPTION: Standard Pacific Corporation, a Delaware Corporation, entered into a Tract Improvement Agreement with the City of Dublin on July 19, 2011, for the construction of street and other tract improvements associated with Tract 7982 and Tract 7652 within the Sorrento East development (City Council Resolution No. 122-11). These improvements included construction of Streambed Corridor improvements along the eastern side of Lockhart Street between Central Parkway and Gleason Drive and along the southern side of Gleason Drive between Lockhart Street and Fallon Road. Standard Pacific provided Faithful Performance Bonds and Labor & Materials Bonds to guarantee construction of these improvements. The Streambed Corridor Improvements are now complete, and the developer is requesting that the bonds for this work be released. The Warranty Bond amounts are equal to twenty five percent (25%) of the full cost to construct the respective improvements. The following improvements are hereby approved and accepted subject to a one-year guarantee period • "Tract 7982 Streambed Corridor Pathway Improvements along Gleason Drive from Lockhart Street to Fallon Road" • "Tract 7982 Streambed Corridor Pathway Improvements along Lockhart Street from Gleason Drive to Palermo Way" • "Tract 7982 Streambed Corridor Pathway Improvements along Lockhart Street from Palermo Way to Central Parkway" • "Tract 7982 Landscape Improvements along Lockhart Street eastern frontage from Palermo Way to Central Parkway" 2.
