SUBJECT: Presentation on the Services and Programs Offered by Amador Valley Industries

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will receive a report from the City's franchised solid waste hauler, Amador
Valley Industries, on the services and programs offered to the community.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council receive the presentation.

DESCRIPTION:
Staff received a request from Amador Valley Industries (AVI), the solid waste hauler for the City
of Dublin, to address the City Council and provide a brief overview of the services and programs
its provides to the Dublin community, highlighting successes and issues faced over the years
and its vision moving forward. By way of general overview, AVI commenced services within the
City of Dublin on July 1, 2005, and its contract with the City continues through June 30, 2020.
AVI's current collection programs include residential, commercial, and institutional garbage,
recyclable, and compostable collection as well as construction and demolition debris collection
services for the Dublin community.
