Home My WebLink AboutReso 238-03 Intention to Form Underground Utility Distribution Facilities District on Dougherty Road from Dublin Boulevard to Sierra Lane and On Dublin Boulevard from Dublin Court to Dougherty Road RESOLUTION NO. 238 - 03 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO FORM UNDERGROUND UTIL, ITY DISTR_IBUT!ON FACILITIES DISTRICT ON DOUGHERTY ROAD FROM DUBLIN BOULEVARD TO SIERRA LANE AND ON DUBLIN BOULEVARD FROM DUBLIN COURT TO DOUGHERTY ROAD (UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT 2003-01) WEIEREAS, on December 2, 2003, the City Council received a report from the Director of Public Works regarding the undergrounding of utilities on segments of various streets and priorities; and WHEREAS, the City Council determined that the highest priority for undergrounding utilities is the segment of Dougherty Road from Dublin Boulevard to Sierra Lane, and on Dublin Boulevard from Dublin Court to Dougherty Road; and WHEREAS, none of the existing businesses in the project limits have overhead services from the utility poles to be under~ounded, hence there will be no expense to the property owners. 1) 2) 3) 4) NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: Pursuant to provisions of Municipal Code Chapter 7.12, the Dublin City Council intends to establish Underground District 2003-01, on Dougherty Road from Dublin Boulevard to Sierra Lane, and on D~blin Boulevard from Dublin Cou~t to D°ugherty Road, as delineated in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. Property owners shall be ready to receive underground distribution service by March 31, 2006, and overhead utility distribution facilities must be removed no later than June 30, 2006. Public hearings for the purpose of hearing protests and objections to the proposed Underground Utility District 2003-01 shall be held on January. 6, 2004, and on February. 3, 2004. The City Clerk is directed to give notice of such hearings in the manner designated in Municipal Code Chapter 7.12. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of December, 2003.
