Dear Members of the City Council;
AWe, St. Philip Lutheran Church, respectfully request time
.. .. on the agenda of the City Council meeting on.:Monday,
August 23, 1982.
We are asking for a place on the agenda because we are
seeking some modification in our conditional use permit. .
We need such a modification so that we can receive a
• certification of completion on our building project and
close out our construction loan. Currently we are paying
about $2500 a month interest on our construction loan; a
certificate of completion would enable us to use those
funds for landscaping.
Because we definitely need more parking and because we
are concerned about the kind of message the outward •
appearance of our new sanctuary gives to the community,
we are anxious to complete the parking lot and land-
scaping phases of our project as soon as possible. We
believe that some modification in our conditional use per-
mit will help us to move in that direction.
A speaker representing us would be willing to present
additional background to our request at the Council
meeting.
