We were at the Crafty Fox Macrame Shop, Alpha Beta Shopping Center, Dublin attending a lesson when a man by the name of Mr. Bill Tennery came into the open doorway and started yelling at the owner, Betty Ivey, about parking her car in front of her shop. He ranted and raved at her using foul, abusive language telling her if she didn't move her car and keep it moved he was going to have it towed away and as head of Dublin's Planning Commission he had the power and authority to do so. As it was, her car, my car and one other car were the only three cars parked in the North end of the center; all the other businesses appeared to be closed. He continued to carry on and accused her of constantly sipping on her wine jug. He said he had the county officers at Santa Rita watching her with instructions to pick her up when she left. I became so embarrassed I could of crawled under the table. I have patronized the Crafty Fox once or twice a week for over two years, spending hours at a time there. I have never smelled or seen anything . resembling wine or any other alcoholic beverage except the macrame hangings that display wine bottles and glasses for customers to make. What kind of person is Mr. Tennery who can use his public position of Planning Commissioner to harrass and threaten a small business owner, let alone embarrass her in front of paying customers? Is this the type of person who should represent a newly formed city such as Dublin. If so, maybe someone should take a second look and reexamine the finer qualities this Mr. Tennery possesses. I found the whole incident disgustingly rude and completely uncalled for. Sincerely, , ,a,th2.,.4 s.
