DESCRIPTION: The City of Dublin will celebrate the 32"d Annual St. Patrick's Day
Celebration on March 13— 15, 2015.
The festivities begin Friday, March 13 at 6:00 PM with dinner and dancing to tive music at the Green and
White Gala, hosted by the Dublin Sister City Association at the Shannon Community Center. For
information, call (925) 899-4771.
On Saturday, March 14 from 7:00 to10:00 AM, the morning starts with hot "green" pancakes, scrambled
eggs, sausage, juice and coffee at the Alameda County Firefighter's Pancake Breakfast at Fire Station
#16, located at Donohue Drive and Amador Valley Boulevard. Tickets are $5 per person at the door.
Proceeds benefit the Local 55 Charity Fund.
On Saturday, March 14 at 9:30 AM, the St. Patrick's Day Parade, sponsored by the Dublin Lions Club, will
be held featuring 80 entries including festive floats, marching bands, equestrian riders and Irish
bagpipers. The parade grandstand is located at 7400 Amador Valley Boulevard.
The St. Patrick's Day Festival takes place on Saturday and Sunday, March 14 & 15, from 10:00 AM to
5:00 PM, at the Dublin Civic Center, 100 Civic Plaza. This year's event includes three stages of authentic
Irish entertainment, 250 crafters and commercial vendors including an Irish Marketplace, an Irish Tea
Cottage, plenty of delicious Irish food and beverages, carnival rides for all ages. New for this year will be
a Rugby competition, an Irish favorite, to be played throughout the day on Saturday at the Dublin Sports
Grounds.
The 17th Annual Shamrock 5K Fun Run and Walk is scheduled for Sunday, March 15 at 8:30 AM. The run
starts near the Civic Center and finishes at the festivat with live music, awards and giveaways for
participants. Pre-register by March 12 at www.active.com, or call (925) 556-4500. Event day
registrations are also accepted.
Festival admission is free. Free and secure bike parking is also available onsite at the Bike Valet area.

Festival Highlights:
• Entertainment will include two stages of lively music from high-energy Celtic rock to traditional Irish
Pub music, Celtic Harp and iconic bagpipes. On the Main Stage, enjoy the sounds of"Stand Easy" led
by award-winning singer/songwriter John McLean Allan who blends original and traditional songs
with bagpipe/rock instrumentals. Also LeperKhanz will appear offering an exotic mix of Irish fiddle,
reggae, sea shanty, disco and rock. Molly's Revenge, The Black Irish, Avalon Rising, and the USAF
Irish ensemble known as the Blue Yonders will round out the line-up on the Pub and Main Stages
along with The Elderberries and Bicycle Irish in the Tea Cottage. The Irish Dance Stage will showcase
the McGrath Irish Dancers on Saturday and the McBride School of Irish Dance on Sunday.
• The Arts & Crafts fair will showcase a variety of talented artists. The "Irish Marketplace," will offer
unique Celtic artwork, Irish tartans, beautiful Celtic jewelry, handmade pewter goblets and steins,
delectable Irish whiskey cakes and candies, genuine four-leaf clover jewelry and much more.
• The Celtic Food Court will feature traditional Irish favorites, such as corned beef with cabbage, Irish
bangers and mash and, of course, fish and chips. Try the unique Irish inspired specialties, such as the
corned beef sliders with cheddar & spicy slaw or the Irish Egg Rolls with horseradish sauce.
Authentic Guinness, Harp and Smithwicks will be served on tap, as well as, non-alcoholic Irish Coffee.
For dessert, try Irish Creme Brulee, green shamrock-shaped funnel cakes or shamrock mint shakes
with Bailey's whipped cream. A host of traditional festival foods and international choices will also
be available.
• Come to the Irish Tea Cottage inside the Dublin Civic Center and enjoy lively music along with a
steaming cup of authentic Irish tea served with tasty shortbread and scones.
• A Carnival will offer exciting rides to attract kids of all ages.
