Call to Order
Vice Chairperson Krausnick called the meeting to order at 9:32 AM.

3.1 Welcome New Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee Members
Staff welcomed new Committee Members Beth Brizee and Jerrie Lore. The Committee Members and
Staff introduced themselves and gave a brief background.
Approva/of the Minutes
ON A MOTION BY CM ITO, SECONDED BY CM MACK AND BY A VOTE OF 3-0-2, THE SENIOR CENTER
ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPROVED THE MINUTES OF DECEMBER 4, 2014 WITH CM'S BRIZEE AND LORE
ABSTA/N/NG AS THEY WERE APPO/NTED TO THE COMM/TTEE IN JANUARY 2015.

7.1 Election of Officers
The Senior Center Advisory Committee conducted annual elections for Chairperson and Vice
Chairperson.

CM KRAUSNICK NOMINATED CM MACK FOR CHAIRPERSON. CM MACK DECLINED THE NOMINATION.
CM MACK NOMINATED CM KRAUSNICK FOR CHAIRPERSON AND CM KRAUSNICK DECLINED. CM
KRAUSNICK NOMINATED CM ITO FOR CHAIRPERSON AND CM ITO ACCEPTED THE NOMINATION. CM
MACK SECONDED THE NOMINATION. THERE WERE NO OTHER NOMINATIONS FOR CHAIRPERSON. BY
A UNANIMOUS VOTE OF 5-0-0 THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE ELECTED CM ITO AS CHAIRPERSON.
CM MACK NOMINATED CM LORE FOR VICECHAIRPERSON. CM LORE DECLINED THE NOMINATION. CM
LORE NOMINATED CM KRAUSNICK FOR VICE CHAIRPERSON. CM KRAUSNICK ACCEPTED THE
NOMINATION. CM MACK SECONDED THE NOMINATION. THERE WERE NO OTHER NOMINATIONS FOR
VICE CHAIRPERSON. BY A UNANIMOUS VOTE OF 5-0-0 THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE ELECTED CM
KRAUSNICK AS VICE CHAIRPERSON.
7.2 2014 Fall Quarterly Report
Staff provided the Advisory Committee Members with an overview of the 2014 Fall Quarterly Report. Of
special note were the 9% increase in programs and activities attendance and a 10% increase in total
attendance.
The Committee Members engaged in a short discussion about the Food Distribution Program. Staff
briefly explained how the program works and that the program is available to anyone.
7.3 2015 Live Healthy Dublin
Staff gave a brief overview of the 2015 Live Healthy Dublin "ACTIV-8 Challenge". For the third year the
Parks & Community Services Department is inviting the public to participate in this community-wide
event for participants to achieve optimal health through a customized wellness challenge. In 2014, there
were approximately 350 participants. This year, the awards ceremony will be held on May 15 at the
Dublin Farmer's Market.
Other Business
Staff informed the Committee Members that City Council approved the funding of the Emerald Glen
Aquatics Center. A brief overview of the project and mock-ups of the Aquatics Center were presented.
The groundbreaking will be held on March 6 at noon and the project is scheduled to open early 2017.
