7.2 2014 Fali Quarterly Report
Staff provided the Advisory Committee Members with an overview of the 2014 Fall Quarteriy Report. Of
special note were the 9% increase in programs and activities attendance and a 10% increase in total
attendance.
The Committee Members engaged in a short discussion about the Food Distribution Program. Staff
briefly explained how the pragram works and that the program is available to anyone.
7.3 2015 Live Healthy Dublin
Staff gave a brief overview of the 2015 Live Healthy Dublin "ACTIV-8 Challenge". For the third year the
Parks & Community Services Department is inviting the public #o participate in this community-wide
event for participants to achieve optimal health through a customized we3lness challenge. In 2014, there
were approximately 350 participants. This year, the awards ceremony will be held on May 15 at the
Dublin Farmer's Market.
Other Busfness
Staff informed the Committee Members that City Council approved the funding of the Emerald Gfen
Aquatics Center. A brief overview of the project and mock-ups of the Aquatics Center were presented.
The groundbreaking will be he(d on March 6 at noor� and the project is scheduled to open eariy 2017.
