FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None
DESCRIPTION: Staff will provide information on the application process for the
2015-2016 Youth Advisory Committee and Student Representative to the Parks and Community Services
Commission. Staff will encourage current Advisory Committee Members to apply, and ask Advisory
Committee Members to encourage other youth to apply.
Applications for these positions are available on the City of Dublin website, www.dublin.ca.�ov, Shannon
Community Center (11600 Shannon Avenue), and at the Parks and Community Services Department at
City Hall (100 Civic Plaza). Applications will be accepted until 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2015.

The City of Dublin is looking for motivated and enthusiastic youth with an
interest in serving on the Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) for the 2015-
2016 term. Members of YAC, are charged with the purpose of providing
input on youth services, assisting with implementation and promotion of
youth activities, and addressing issues that affect youth in Dublin. This
would be a great opportunity for you to make a difference for your peers in
the community!
YAC is made up of youth and adult members. These members are appointed
by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council. The term of office will
be for twelve months, beginning in June 2015 and ending in May 2016, with
an opportunity for re-appointment to subsequent terms. The Advisory
Committee meets once a month on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
As a Youth Advisory Committee Member, your dedication in attending and
participating in meetings is important and required.

residents and be enrolled in middle,junior high or senior high school for the 2015-2016 school year.
The term of ofFce is for one year starting 7une 1, 2015 and ending May 31, 2016. The application
deadline is Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 5:00 PM. Please answer questions on a separate sheet of

Thank you for your interest in serving as the Student Representative to the
City of Dublin Parks and Community Services Commission for the term of
July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016.
The purpose of the Commission is to consider and make recommendations
to the City Council and Staff in matters pertaining to recreation services for
the Dublin community.
The Parks and Community Services Commission is made up of six
members appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. The
term of office for the Student Commissioner is for one year, commencing
July 1 and terminating the following June 30. The Commission meets the
third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. Commissioners receive $50 for
attendance at each meeting.
To be eligible for the position, you must be a Dublin resident and have junior
or senior standing in high school for the 2015-2016 school year.
