SUBJECT: Appointment of Student Representative to Parks and Community Services
Commission

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Mayor Haubert is recommending the appointment of Sabrina Tabaracci as the Student
Representative to the Parks and Community Services Commission for the term of July 2015
through June 2016.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council consider the Mayor's appointment to the Student
Representative position on the Parks and Community Services Commission for the 2015 — 2016
term.

DESCRIPTION:
The current term of the Student Representative to the Parks and Community Services
Commission expires on June 30, 2015. During the month of April 2015, recruitment efforts took
place to encourage high school students to apply for the position for the upcoming term of office.
A total of eleven applications were received by the application deadline.
Mayor Haubert recommends the appointment of Sabrina Tabaracci as the Student
Representative to the Parks and Community Services Commission for the term commencing in
July 2015 and expiring in June 2016. Sabrina will be a senior at Dublin High School.

NOTICING REQUIREMENTS/PUBLIC OUTREACH:
The opening for the appointment was advertised at the local high schools, on the City's website
and a press release was distributed to local media.
