HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 066-90 Bonds/CM/CC/CT RESOLUTION NO. 66 - 90 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN ESTABLISHING BOND REQUIREMENTS FOR CITY MANAGER, CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER POSITIONS WHEREAS, City of Dublin Ordinance No. 45-87 establishes the position of City Manager; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 45-87 states that the City Council shall designate the amount of the bond to be obtained for this position; and WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 36518 requires the City Clerk and the City Treasurer to execute a bond; and WHEREAS, the Government Code provides that the penal sum of the bond shall be in a reasonable amount; and WHEREAS, the City Council is required to fix the amount of the bond by resolution upon the recommendation of the City Attorney; and WHEREAS, the bond premium for all bonds shall be paid by the City in accordance with California Government Code Section 1651; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the recommendation of the City Attorney in fixing these amounts; and WHEREAS, the City Council may amend the amount of the bond by resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby establish the following bond amounts to be secured by the positions noted in accordance with this resolution: City Manager City Treasurer City Clerk $100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Dollars) $100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Dollars) $ 50,000 (Fifty Thousand Dollars) PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this llth day of June, 1990.
