DESCRIPTION: At the meeting of November 8, 2000, the Dublin City Council awarded
Contract No. 00-13, Street Name Identification Sign Replacement, to Farwest Safety, Inc.
This project replaced approximately 500 existing black and white street name signs with the green-and-
white shamrock logo street name signs adopted by the City Cotmcil during Fiscal Year 1985-86. The new
type of signs have been installed for the past several years in new subdivisions. The replacement signs
included block number designations for arterial and collector streets, and were reflectorized for better
visibility at night.
The City Engineer has reviewed the work on the project and has determined that the work is complete.
Staff recommends that the City Council accept the improvements under Contract No. 00-13 and authorize
the release of retention after 35 days if there are no subcontractor claims.
