Recognition of Dr. Ted C. Woy, M.D.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will recognize Dr. Ted Woy, M.D. as a founding Board Member of the Dublin
Senior Foundation and thank him for his 18 years of service to the Foundation and community.

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council present the Certificate of Recognition.

DESCRIPTION:
The City of Dublin wishes to recognize and honor longtime Dublin resident Dr. Ted Woy. Dr.
Woy was a founding Board Member of the Dublin Senior Foundation, and served on the Board
of Directors for 18 years from 1997-2015.
Dr. Ted Woy worked as a physician for Kaiser Permanente until retiring in 1995. He served on
the City’s Planning Commission, and is a former Citizen of the Year (1969-1970) for the Dublin
Chamber of Commerce. Among his other many accomplishments, Dr. Woy served on the
Murray School District Board of Trustees and the Alameda County Library Foundation Board.
He was also an active member of the Lion’s Club, and is a past president of the Sons in
Retirement Club (SIRS).
It is with deep appreciation and gratitude that the City of Dublin wishes to recognize Dr. Ted
Woy.
