HomeMy WebLinkAbout4.07 Summer Aquatics Program CITY OF DUBLIN AGENDA STATEMENT CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: February 8, 1988 SUBJECT 1988 Summer Aquatics Program EXHIBITS ATTACHED None RECOMMENDATION 1) Authorize an additional appropriation in the amount of $10, 000 to be offset- by 17/4/ .. aquatics fees. 2) Authorize Budget Transfer from the contingent Reserve in the amount of $4, 500. 3) Authorize recruitment of Part-Time Aquatic Personnel FINANCIAL STATEMENT Approximate Cost to the City for the 1988 Season is $41, 725 DESCRIPTION At the December 14, 1987 meeting of the City Council, the Council approved the transfer of aquatic programming responsibility for the Valley Community Swim Center from the Dublin San Ramon Services District to the City of Dublin effective January 1, 1988. At their subsequent meeting of January. 25, 1988, the Council adopted resolutions amending the classification plan to include part-time aquatic personnel establishing a salary plan for these new positions. e Staff has developed preliminary estimates as to the number of, staff required to staff the pool as well as the associated personnel costs. Additionally staff has prepared revenue estimates for the programs that will be run at the pool.
