DESCRIPTION • At the May 9, 1988 meeting of the Dublin City Council the Council received the final report from the Dublin School Facilities Improvement Task Force. The report contained a list of recommendations for improvements on school property that the City could undertake, however no cost estimates were provided. Prior to committing funds for the improvements, the Council directed staff to send a letter to the Dublin Joint Unified School District Board of Directors, seeking their support of this study in order to seek the services of a professional landscape architect to prepare cost estimates for the improvements. A response was received on June 3 , 1988 from Heinz Gewing, Superintendent of Schools , supporting the Citys efforts in seeking further cost estimates for the improvements (Exhibit A) . As a result of the positive response by the School District, staff consulted with Phil Singer of Singer and Hodges , Landscape Architecture, who has prepared a Letter of Agreement to provide a cost analysis for the Dublin School Facility Improvements (Exhibit B) . The fee for services shall be billed hourly and shall not exceed $4 ,000 . It is the recommendation of staff that the City Council approve the Letter of Agreement and authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement.
