SUBJECT: Tour of Dublin Heritage Park and Museums

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Dublin Senior Center Advisory Committee will be given a tour of the Dublin Heritage Park and
Museums.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
RECOMMENDATION:
Tour the Dublin Heritage Parks and Museums.
DESCRIPTION:
The mission of the Dublin Heritage Park and Museums (DHPM) is to collect, preserve and interpret the
inaterial culture of Dublin to provide a historical and cultural focal point that will enrich the community. This
mission is accomplished through collections that include the 1856 Murray School House, 1859 Saint
Raymond Church, the Pioneer Cemetery, and the Kolb Family Farm buildings.
Dublin Historian Steve Minniear will begin the tour on the grounds at Saint Raymond Church. The use of
videos, authentic artifacts and recreated scenes will help tell the story of Dublin's rich history. The walking
tour includes learning about Dublin's historic crossroads, Murray School House, and the Kolb Family House.
The Kolb Family House depicts ranch life in Dublin in the 20`h century, showcasing recreated period rooms
and original furniture and belongings of the Kolb family.
