DESCRIPTION In April , 1988, the City received a request from John
O'Donnell , Director of the East Bay Regional Park District, indicating the
District' s interest in establishing a Liaison Committee between the City of
Dublin and the East Bay Regional Park District. The City Council directed
Staff to notify the District that the City would be willing to participate.
In addition, the Council indicated at its April 11 , 1988 Council meeting
that it might be desirable to designate a member of the Park & Recreation
Commission, in addition to a representative from the City Council to such a
committee.
The City has recently been contacted by the East Bay Regional Park District
staff who has requested that the City identify some possible meeting dates
near the end of January or beginning of February, 1989 , for the District and
City Liaison Committee to meet. In that the City Council has not yet
designated representatives to a Liaison Committee, it is Staff ' s
recommendation that the City Council do so. In addition to those
individuals designated by the Council, the City Manager will make certain
that the appropriate Staff representation from the City is also present ,
depending upon the issue( s ) to be discussed. Once the Council has
designated representatives , Staff will work with those representatives to
identify available times to meet with the East Bay Regional Park District
Liaison Committee.
