FINANCIAL STATEMENT: No cost.
DESCRIPTION:
The first reading of this ordinance was on March 13, 1989. There
was no input at the public hearing and the ordinance was
introduced.
Ordinance 4-87 replaced the provisions of the County Ordinance
Code relating to establishing a street address system. Section 6
of Ordinance 4-87 provided that failure to post addresses on
non-residential buildings after 10 day notice is a misdemeanor.
After this ordinance was adopted violation of the building code
and zoning ordinance became an infraction. It is proposed to
change misdemeanors to infraction.
Adoption of this ordinance at this time will allow this revision
to be incorporated into the Municipal Code.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY. OF DUBLIN
AMENDING ORDINANCE 4-87 WHICH ESTABLISHES A STREET ADDRESS
NUMBERING SYSTEM BY AMENDING SECTION 6 BY CHANGING PENALTY FOR
FAILING TO INSTALL STREET ADDRESS NUMBERS ON EXISTING BUILDINGS.
FROM A MISDEMEANOR TO AN INFRACTION
The City Council of the City- of Dublin, does ordain as follows:
Section 1: - Ordinance 4-87 is amended by amending Section 6 in .
its entirety to read as follows:
Section 6: APPLICATION TO EXISTING BUILDINGS
Whenever the numbers are not displayed on existing non-
residential buildings as required in Section 5, the owner or
occupant of the existing building shall after 10 days written
notice install numbers and names as required or shall be guilty of
an infraction.
Each owner or occupant shall be guilty of a separate offense
for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of
any provision of this section is committed, continued, or permitted
by such person.
Section 2 : POSTING OF ORDINANCE
The City Clerk of the City of Dublin shall cause this
ordinance to be posted in at least three (3) public places in the
City of. Dublin in accordance with Section 36933 of the Government .
Code of the State of California.
