Rankin, Assistant City Manager) EXHIBITS ATTACHED None RECOMMENDATION ■ Consider Appointment and direct Staff to notify the Commission. FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None. DESCRIPTION The Alameda County Transportation Plan Commission has requested that participating agencies select an Alternate Member. Councilmember Jeffery is the City' s appointed member on the Commission. In July of 1988, the City Council approved participation in a County-wide study of transportation throughout the County. The cost was apportioned based on population and the City of Dublin' s share is $2, 000 . The "Plan" is intended to include, - recommendations for improvements to State highways, major arterials, and transit service in Alameda County. The Commission is comprised of representatives from the County, Cities, transit operators, MTC, and CalTrans . In order to assure maximum representation at Commission meetings, they have requested that the City Council designate an "Alternate. " Councilmember Jeffery is the City' s designee and may wish to provide additional background. Also, Councilmember Snyder currently is a member of the Commission representing the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority. • Staff would request that the councilmembers select an alternate. Staff will advise the Commission of the City Council' s decision. . • • •
