RECOMMENDATION • . Open Public Hearing; Hear Staff Presentation; Hear Public Testimony; Close Public Hearing; Adopt Ordinance. FINANCIAL STATEMENT: If these Ordinances are adopted, the maximum expense to the City per year would total $9, 000 . A budget transfer from the Continent Reserve would be necessary in the amount of $5,400 to the Planning Department's Budget and $3, 600 to the Recreation Department's Budget. DESCRIPTION At the City Council meeting of July 24, 1989, the City Council introduced two Ordinances which would compensate members of the Planning Commission and the Park & Recreation Commission. The compensation would provide that the Planning Commission members would receive $30 for each meeting attended with a three (3) meeting per month cap. Park & Recreation Commission members would be compensated for $30 per meeting attended, with a two (2) meeting per month cap. COPIES TO: Planning Commission Park & Recreation Commission ITEM NO. 6'� /M ORDINANCE NO. - 89 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN ******************* RELATING TO COMPENSATION FOR PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION MEMBERS The City Council of the City of Dublin does ordain as follows: Section 1. Park & Recreation Commission members shall be paid $30 for each meeting attended to a maximum of two meetings in a calendar month, provided that ,Commission members shall not be deemed to be City. employees by virtue of such payment. Section 2. Posting and Effective Date This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage. The City Clerk of the City of Dublin shall cause this Ordinance to be posted in at least three (3) public places in the City of Dublin in accordance with Section 36933 of the Government Code of the State of California. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Dublin on this 14th day of August, • 1989, by the following vote: AYES: NOES : ABSENT: • Mayor ATTEST: City Clerk ORDINANCE NO. - 89 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN ******************* RELATING TO COMPENSATION FOR PLANNING COMMISSION MEMBERS The City Council of the City of Dublin does ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 4 of Ordinance No. 5 is deleted and is replaced with the following "Section ' 4: "Section 4. Expenses and Compensation. Planning Commission members shall be entitled to reimbursement for expenses as the Council may approve. In addition,, Planning Commission'members shall be paid $30 for each meeting attended to' a maximum of three meetings in a calendar month, provided that Commission members shall not be deemed to be City employees by virtue of such payment. Section 2. Posting and Effective Date This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from and after the date of its passage. The City Clerk of the City of Dublin shall cause this Ordinance to be posted in at least three (3) public places in the City of Dublin in accordance with Section 36933 of the Government Code of the State of California.
