HomeMy WebLinkAbout7.2 Team Building Workshop i CITY OF DUBLIN AGENDA STATEMENT CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: August 28, 1989 SUBJECT Team Building Workshop Report by Richard Ambrose, City Manager EXHIBITS ATTACHED : entative Agenda RECOMMENDATION 1 ) Review and approve tentative agenda for Team Building Workshop (VS\ 2) Approve location for Team Building Workshop FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Total cost of facility and consulting services are estimated at approximately $1 , 400. Sufficient funds are included in City Council Budget. DESCRIPTION At the City Council meeting of July 24, 1989, the City Council agreed to participate in a Team Building Workshop which would include the City Council, Planning Commission and Staff members associated with the development process. The Council indicated that the Workshop should be held on Sunday, September 17, 1989 . The City Council also agreed that this Workshop should be held outside the City so that distractions to the participants would minimized. Staff has contacted a number of conference centers throughout the Bay Area and has been unable to find very many available locations on such short notice. The only conference center that could accommodate the City on such short notice is the Wente Brothers Conference Center. The Wente Brothers facility is available between 9 : 00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. , on September 17th. Since last Council meeting, the City's Consultant has met with members of the City Council and Planning Commission and Staff to obtain input in the development of a tentative agenda for the Team Building Workshop. A copy of the tentative agenda is attached for City Council consideration. It is Staff's recommendation that the City Council approve the content of the tentative agenda and the location for the Team Building Workshop. C7° COPIES TO: Arlene J.
