Please note that I have not included electrical engineering services at this time because the number of signs which will be lighted and the electrical points of service have not yet been determined. I have also assumed that construction observation by our firm may not be necessary. Please let me know if you wish to include electrical engineering , services and/or construction observation by our firm in the contract. Thanks again for considering us for this project. PROPOSAL I. Landscape Architectural Services Singer & Hodges, Inc. shall perform the following landscape, architectural services. A. Preliminary Plans/Design Development 1. Preparation of alternate schematic designs for entry signs at five. locations within the City of Dublin.. Alternate designs, including plans and elevations and preliminary cost estimates will be pre- sented to City staff for review and comment. 2. Based on staff review and direction, design presentation drawings will be prepared and presented to City Review Agency and/or City Council for approval . B. Working Drawings and Specifications 1. Preparation of working drawings and specifications for the construction of five signs and landscaping at locations selected . by the City of Dublin. C. Assistance During Bid Process 1. Provide assistance to the City during the bid process, including answering Contractor inquiries and preparation of addenda. Construction Observation Construction observation is not part of the scope of services of this agreement. Any construction observation services requested by the client shall be billed as additional services at the rates in Item IV. II. Additional Conditions A. The City of Dublin shall provide all existing information necessary for the completion of landscape architectural services in this letter of agreement. B. Upon written request, the City of Dublin shall execute and deliver, or cause to be executed and delivered, such additional instruments, docu- ments, governmental fees and charges which are necessary to perform the terms of agreement. C. It is understood that the construction budget for the five entry signs is approximately $30,000.00. III. Compensation for Services and Billing Procedure A. The fee for the services indicated in Item I of this proposal shall be billed at the hourly rates indicated in Item IV, and shall not exceed $7,200.00. B. Bills shall be submitted monthly based on the progress of the work. IV. 'Additional Services A. Any extra services in addition to those indicated in this proposal shall be billed at the hourly rates listed below in addition to the fee indicated in Item III above. Principal $85.00 per hour Associate 0 $60.00 per hour Draftsperson ' $40.00 per hour Clerical 1 $35.00 per hour Clerical '2 $30.00 per hour V. Reimbursable Expenses A. Reimbursable expenses are in addition to the compensation for services indicated in Item III, and include actual expenditures made by the employees and consultants of Singer & Hodges, Inc. in the interest of the Project for the expenses listed in the following paragraphs. Expense of reproductions, postage, and handling of drawings, spe- cifications and other documents, excluding reproductions for the office use of the Landscape Architect and the Landscape Architect's consultants. 2. Expense of renderings, models, and mock-ups requested by the client, not included in the scope of landscape architectural services. - 3. Expense of courier service and express mail requested by client.
