recommendation that the ceremony -should be held at the- -Dublin_ _Civic Center
and directed staff to pursue lighting all the trees utilized in the outside
landscaping , or import a large cut tree to be placed in the plaza or
interior courtyard . Additionally the Commission recommended that the
traditional tree at the Dublin Library be lit . With regards to
entertainment , the Commission felt that a community sing-along of Christmas

As the landscaping and trees in the exterior courtyard have not yet been
accepted by the City and are still in the maintenance period , staff
recommends against lighting this area for this year . However this could be
investigated for next year . The interior courtyard will also be
unavailable as the fountain will be under construction . Consequently staff
recommends that the exterior archways leading into the Civic Center be lit
and a large tree be decorated and lit in the lobby area of the
administrative wing . Entertainment could be setup on the grand staircase
with spectators gathered in the lobby . The Regional Meeting Room could be
utilized for refreshments . Staff concurs with the Commission that the
Library Tree be lit as well .
