A PROCLAMATION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

WHEREAS, Alice Pitchford has served the City of Dublin well for almost 30 years as an
enthusiastic and hard-working member of many civic and charitable organizations; and
WHEREAS, Alice Pitchford and her husband Norm, will be leaving the City of Dublin in the near
future; and
WHEREAS, Alice has given generously of her time and effort on behalf of the Alameda County
r Library Advisory Commission, the Alameda County Commission on Aging, the Dublin Senior Citizen's
Center Advisory Committee, and the Dublin Women's Club; and '
NWHEREAS, Alice founded and was the first President of the Friends of the Dublin Library, and was . `..r
coordinator for several Murray School District school libraries; and
; , WHEREAS, Alice was instrumental in providing many hours of research and helped during they

- -+,.. ;' , adoption of the City's Property Maintenance Ordinance. ` ""'!'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that I, Paul C. Moffatt, Mayor of the City of Dublin, do hereby S
commend Alice Pitchford for her many contributions to the progress of this community, and extend
my personal best wishes and those of the City Council, Staff, and all our citizens in wishing
Alice and Norm many happy and successful years of retirement in their new home in the State of
- .Washington.
•BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Alice and Norm Pitchford are hereby declared honorary citizens of

the City of Dublin, and shall be welcomed back at any time.
