Food will be available to purchase for those who prefer not to bring
a picnic. A barbecue lunch will be prepared by a host of "celebrity
chefs", and popcorn, cotton candy and either snow cones or ice cream
will be available.
The preliminary budget for the Fourth of July Family Picnic is $7,500.
Of this amount, $2,000 - will be expended during the current Fiscal
Year, and the remainder, $5,500 will need to be included in the Fiscal
Year 92-93 Budget.
Although there is a need to make a determination to either . proceed or
not proceed with the event at this time, Staff does have concerns
regarding committing funds for 1992-93 before the Council has reviewed
the budget for the upcoming year.
