FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
DESCRIPTION At the special meeting on Tuesday, April 17 , 1984 , the
City Council requested a report on the legal requirements pertaining to the
appointment of Planning Commissioners . The City Attorney is researching
this issue and will provide the report at the meeting on Monday,
April 23 , 1954 .

RE: APPOINTMENT OF PLANNING COMMISSIONERS
Gov' t Code §65150 provides that the terms of office and the
method of appointment and removal of the planning commissioners
shall be provided by local ordinance. Therefore , the council
has the authority to make planning commission appointments in
any manner they so desire .
