SUBJECT Establishment of Salary Ranges for Newly Authorized
Positions

FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Adequate funding has been provided in the 1984-85
Budget
DESCRIPTION In conjunction with the development of the 1984-85
budget, the City Council approved the addition of the following positions :
Recreation Supervisor, Senior Planner and Crime Prevention Assistant (Part-
Time) .
In accordance with the Personnel System Rules adopted by the City Council,
it is necesary to establish a salary range for each position. Staff has
taken into consideration salaries paid to similar positions in comparable
municipal agencies . The recommended salaries have also been developed to
provide adequate separation between positions within the City of Dublin' s
organization.
The approval of a salary range will allow Staff to proceed with the
recruitment process pursuant to the Personnel System Rules . Therefore, it
is recommended that the Council adopt the attached resolution amending the
salary and benefit plan.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

AMENDING THE SALARY AND BENEFIT PLAN
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Personnel System Rules,
the City Council adopted Resolution NO. 31-84 Establishing A
Salary and Benefit Plan; and
WHEREAS, during the development of the 1984-85 Annual
Budget, the City Council recognized the need for additional
services ; and
WHEREAS, the provision of these services require the
addition of personnel to the City ' s organization; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel System Rules require the City
Council to establish salary ranges for all City of Dublin
employees .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Article I : Section
A of Resolution No. 31-84 , relating to salary provisions of
full-time employees, shall be amended to include the following
monthly pay ranges for the specified classifications:
Minimum Maximum
Recreation Supervisor $ 1, 700 $ 2, 200
Senior Planner 2, 430 3, 040
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Article I : Section B of
Resolution No. 31-84 , relating to salary provisions for part-time
employees , shall be amended to include the following hourly pay
range for the classification indicated:
Minimum Maximum
Crime Prevention Assistant $ 10 . 00 $ 12 .00
