Dear Mr. Lee/ Ms . Bergbower,
On behalf of Alpha Company, 4th Battalion, 32d Armored Regiment, we gratefully
accept to be adopted by your fine city through the organization America Supporting
Americans .
It is indeed an honor for us to be considered to participate in such a program.
Attached is a company roster listing everyone in the company. I hope it will be
useful since we have a short amount of time remaining. To recount my Executive
Officer's previous letter to you, our Battalion has been selected to deactivate on
1 November 1991 . Nevertheless, we are proud of our selection and will do everything
possible in the short amount of time to make the program a success.
If there is anything we can do or anything you need, please feel free to contact
us. I am assigning my Executive Officer, 1LT Herting, as project officer since he
will be remaining throughout the drawdown. Please adress all correspondence to him.
To expedite matters, his home phone number is: 06085/3252
Please be advised, we are back in Germany and there is an eight hour time
difference. Time for postal correspondence usually takes about 7-10 days .
Once again, I would like to extend my deepest thanks on behalf of the company.
Sincerely,
Gerald W. LeMay
