I recommend your unconditional approval of this plan and your support of EAH in the process to finalize the financing and architectural plans. I am an eighteen year resident of this community, and have nineteen years experience as an affordable housing provider in Pleasanton. I am certified as a Public Housing Manager by NAHRO, and have served as a Director of California Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (CAHSA). I have also served on commissions, committees, and task force groups for Dublin, Pleasanton, Alameda County, and WHEELS. I was present at the first community meeting for the East Dublin BART station, and argued for expansion, rather than reduction of planned parking spaces. I ride BART anytime I go to San Francisco, Oakland or Berkeley and am looking forward to our second station at the end of Golden Gate Drive. I have reviewed the preliminary plans for this site and find them appropriate for this location, convenient to public transportation, and part of the solution to our current lack of affordable housing in a county where a family of four with an annual income of $66,250 is considered "low income". I am familiar with the track record of EAH and their practice of using superior materials in their construction and providing experienced staff to guarantee a high quality of life for residents on an ongoing basis. This will be a great addition to Dublin and to the Transit Center Complex. I hope to be present when you consider this application. Please feel free to contact me at my office (925.846.3050) if I can provide any additional information. Si~qrely' ~'i "~'-- cc: file/Mayor Lockhart and Council Members ATTACHMENT
