HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-11-2012 Subcommittee MinutesDUBLIN COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM SUBCOMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES JANUARY 11, 2012 CALL TO ORDER A meeting of the Dublin Community Grants Program Subcommittee ("Committee") was held on January 11, 2012 in the Dublin Civic Center, City Manager's Conference Room, 100 Civic Plaza, Dublin. Vice Mayor Kevin Hart called the meeting to order at 6:06 p.m. ATTENDEES Kevin Hart, Vice Mayor; Eric Swalwell, Councilmember ; Chris Foss, Assistant City Manager; Amy Cunningham, Assistant to the City Manager; Gaylene Burkett, Administrative Analyst; and, Taryn Bozzo, Recording Secretary. PUBLIC MEETING Ms. Amy Cunningham, Assistant to the City Manager, and Ms. Gaylene Burkett, Administrative Analyst, presented the purpose of the Subcommittee and briefly discussed the legal relationships between the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the County, and the City, as outlined in the Agenda. Ms. Burkett presented the Subcommittee with instructions regarding the new online Grant process and how applications will be reviewed this year. Ms. Cunningham presented the timelines and next steps for the Grant application process. Vice Mayor Hart asked how funded organizations are monitored during the fiscal year. Ms. Cunningham replied that Community Grant reports are sent to the City Council in September. Ms. Burkett replied that for Community Development Block Grant recipients, quarterly reports are due to the County in addition to annual monitoring conducted by the City. She stated that the quarterly reports are cross-checked with the Annual Monitoring Reports to ensure that organizations are using Grant funds as they were approved.
