Acceptance of Gift from the Dublin Senior Center Foundation

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will present a Certificate of Appreciation to the Dublin Senior Center
Foundation and formally accept their monetary donation for the construction of a digital marquee
at the Dublin Senior Center.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The Dublin Senior Center Foundation donated $22,283 to cover 50% of the project construction
costs.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council recognize the Dublin Senior Center Foundation by
presenting a Certificate of Appreciation and formally accept their monetary contribution of
$22,283.

DESCRIPTION:
The Dublin Senior Center Foundation, a non-profit organization, was established in 1997, with
the purpose of providing support to the Dublin Senior Center. They also provide support for
special events and programs that address the unmet needs of seniors in the Dublin area.
The Dublin Senior Center Foundation Board voted to support the City of Dublin Senior Center
with funds towards construction costs to install a state-of-the-art digital color marquee. The
marquee was installed on Amador Valley Boulevard near the corner of the Senior Center
parking lot.

NOTICING REQUIREMENTS/PUBLIC OUTREACH:
The Dublin Senior Center Foundation board members were notified and invited to attend the
City Council meeting.
